Open Wood Party

After six years of hard work, trees planted, fences constructed, the Trust thought it was about time to have a party to both say thank you to all the people who had helped as well as promoting the woodland to the local community.

Despite the floods and weather warnings in other parts of the country, the forecast downpour did not arrive and the day greeted the party with blue sky and a gentle breeze. Thankfully gentle enough not to blow the gazebos away.

Around 100 people turned up to learn about the background to the wood and enjoy the hog roast, cakes and music of Summer house. A wonderful day full of chatter and laughter.
A real success, who knows it might even become a regular event.
